Veneers
Veneers are a bonded facing that sits on the front of a tooth or teeth. At Pristine Dentistry we offer Porcelain and Composite Resin veneers. Veneers can improve the shape, size and colour of teeth. They can also be used to fill in gaps or improve the appearance of crooked teeth. At a consultation or examination appointment your dentist can discuss if veneers are a good option for you.
Composite resin veneers are made from a plastic tooth coloured material and can be matched to natural or whitened teeth. They are applied directly to the teeth and are shaped and polished. They can provide and excellent aesthetic result without removing any tooth structure and can be removed. They may chip and stain over time, on average last from 3 to 7 years which will vary from person to person.
Porcelain Veneers are a highly aesthetic restoration, they reflect and refract light in a similar way to tooth enamel so they look very natural. They can be matched to any shade. Porcelain is a much stronger and longer lasting option. Using CEREC we are able to offer same day porcelain veneers to our patients.

Frequently Asked Questions
How far is the clinic from Walkley Heights?
We're at 15 Roopena Street, Ingle Farm, in the neighbouring suburb. Both suburbs sit in the 5098 postcode, so for most Walkley Heights residents it's a short drive.
Are you taking new patients from Walkley Heights?
Yes. New patients are welcome and you don't need a referral. It helps to bring a list of any medications you take and your health fund card, if you have one.
Can my child use their CDBS benefit with you?
If your child is eligible, yes. You can check through your Medicare online account, or ask our reception team to help you confirm it before the appointment.
What should I do if I have a dental emergency on a weekend?
We're open Saturday mornings from 8:00am to 12:30pm, so call as early as you can. Outside those hours, go to your nearest hospital emergency department. Do the same if swelling is affecting your breathing or swallowing.
Do health funds cover dental implants?
Some extras policies contribute to part of implant treatment, but cover varies widely between funds and policy levels. We can give you a written estimate with item numbers so you can check with your fund first.
Do you have after-work appointments?
Yes. We stay open until 7:00pm on Thursdays, which tends to suit people working full-time.
