Walkley Heights Dental Clinic Care Without Leaving the 5098 Postcode
Walkley Heights and Ingle Farm share a postcode, a stretch of the Dry Creek corridor and, for plenty of families, the same weekly shop. So it’s no surprise that a fair number of our patients come from the quiet streets on the Walkley Heights side.
Pristine Dentistry is at 15 Roopena Street in Ingle Farm. We aren’t located in Walkley Heights itself, but for most households there it’s a short drive. It’s an easy one to fit around school pick-up or a Saturday morning errand. If you’ve been searching for a Walkley Heights dental clinic, we’re a nearby option with more than three decades in the area.
The practice has looked after this part of Adelaide’s north-east for more than 35 years. Plenty of locals still know us as Ingle Family Dental, from the days when we were tucked inside the Ingle Farm Medical Centre. The name changed and we moved across the road into our own building. The team, and the way we look after people, didn’t.
That history counts for something when you’re choosing a Walkley Heights dentist. Some of our patients first sat in the chair as kids. Now they bring their own children along.
Family dental care with good old-fashioned service, in a modern, purpose-built clinic a short drive from home.
Giving Back to Our Local Community
Pristine Dentistry is proud to support our local community as major sponsor of the Mawson Lakes Rotary Club.
Dental Services for Walkley Heights Patients
Check-ups and Dental Examinations
A proper examination is more than a quick look for holes. Your dentist checks your teeth, gums and bite, screens for signs of oral cancer, looks at your jaw joints and takes photos or x-rays where they’re needed. Then we go through what we found in plain language, along with your options. Most adults do well with a visit every six months. Your dentist may suggest something different depending on your gum health and history.
Walkley Heights Kids Dentist Visits and the CDBS
If you’re after a Walkley Heights kids dentist who keeps early visits low-key, we like to meet children from around age two. Those first appointments are mostly about getting comfortable. There’s a ride up and down in the chair, some counting of teeth, and a quick chat with Mum or Dad about brushing and snacks. Keeping things relaxed while nothing is wrong makes later visits much easier for everyone.

Walkley Heights Dental Implants
An implant is one way to replace a missing tooth, or several. A small post, usually titanium, is placed in the jawbone and later supports a crown, bridge or denture. Implants aren’t suitable for everyone. Bone density, gum health, smoking and some medical conditions all play a part. That’s why every conversation about implants starts with a thorough assessment and x-rays.
Principal dentist Dr Pandiyan Thevar has completed the Masters Clinician Program in Implant Dentistry, and implant procedures are one of his particular interests. You may be weighing up Walkley Heights dental implants against a bridge or denture. If so, he’ll set out the costs, timeframes and trade-offs of each so you can make the call that suits you. As with any surgical procedure, implant treatment carries risks, and he’ll walk you through those too.

How far is the clinic from Walkley Heights?
We're at 15 Roopena Street, Ingle Farm, in the neighbouring suburb. Both suburbs sit in the 5098 postcode, so for most Walkley Heights residents it's a short drive.
Are you taking new patients from Walkley Heights?
Yes. New patients are welcome and you don't need a referral. It helps to bring a list of any medications you take and your health fund card, if you have one.
Can my child use their CDBS benefit with you?
If your child is eligible, yes. You can check through your Medicare online account, or ask our reception team to help you confirm it before the appointment.
What should I do if I have a dental emergency on a weekend?
We're open Saturday mornings from 8:00am to 12:30pm, so call as early as you can. Outside those hours, go to your nearest hospital emergency department. Do the same if swelling is affecting your breathing or swallowing.
Do health funds cover dental implants?
Some extras policies contribute to part of implant treatment, but cover varies widely between funds and policy levels. We can give you a written estimate with item numbers so you can check with your fund first.
Do you have after-work appointments?
Yes. We stay open until 7:00pm on Thursdays, which tends to suit people working full-time.
