Crown and Bridge

A Fixed Alternative to Dentures

If you don’t like the idea of a denture and having a removable prosthesis in your mouth, “full arch” or “full jaw” dental implants may be the right option for you. They are typically fixed to only four implants per jaw but replace your entire set of top teeth and bottom teeth. Only your dentist can remove them with special tools. They are easy to clean, fit very comfortably, and give you peace of mind knowing they are permanently fixed.

Bridges

A bridge is different to dentures, it is permanently fixed to your teeth so it cannot be taken out of your mouth like dentures. A bridge is constructed by attaching a crown to the teeth either side of your missing tooth/teeth. These teeth then have a porcelain/ceramic tooth fused to the crowns which will fill your gap. A bridge is custom made for each individual case and at Pristine Dentistry we meticulously construct the bridge to improve your appearance and chewing function. There is no surgery involved and the whole process can be performed within two appointments.

In some cases, a bridge may not be the best solution however, your individual needs will be thoroughly investigated and the appropriate treatment will be recommended by the experienced team at Pristine Dentistry.

Frequently Asked Questions

How far is the clinic from Walkley Heights?

We're at 15 Roopena Street, Ingle Farm, in the neighbouring suburb. Both suburbs sit in the 5098 postcode, so for most Walkley Heights residents it's a short drive.

Are you taking new patients from Walkley Heights?

Yes. New patients are welcome and you don't need a referral. It helps to bring a list of any medications you take and your health fund card, if you have one.

Can my child use their CDBS benefit with you?

If your child is eligible, yes. You can check through your Medicare online account, or ask our reception team to help you confirm it before the appointment.

What should I do if I have a dental emergency on a weekend?

We're open Saturday mornings from 8:00am to 12:30pm, so call as early as you can. Outside those hours, go to your nearest hospital emergency department. Do the same if swelling is affecting your breathing or swallowing.

Do health funds cover dental implants?

Some extras policies contribute to part of implant treatment, but cover varies widely between funds and policy levels. We can give you a written estimate with item numbers so you can check with your fund first.

Do you have after-work appointments?

Yes. We stay open until 7:00pm on Thursdays, which tends to suit people working full-time.
